Worn by West Ham centre half Alvin Martin in Helsinki, at The Olympic Stadium, Finland Thursday 3rd June 1982.
This iconic Admiral away shirt, surprisingly only was worn on 5 occasions in 3 different formats, this being the first time the shirt was worn.
It was worn on one other occasion just like this, it was also used as England's away shirt in Spain for the 1982 World Cup Finals, it was used as an aertex version, without the banned manufactures logo, admiral, it was also used at Wembley for the last time in 1983, vs Greece, with the admiral logo in red, at the bottom of the players numbers.
Alvin played well in England's 1-4 win in Finland, in the final preparation game before the 1982 World Cup squad was named, sadly Alvin wasn't named in the 23 man squad.
