In 1999 WHU had 2 new shirts made by Fila for the 1999/00 season, this was going to be used for the Intertoto cup final home 1st round leg vs Metz, but WHU had just had some bad publicity due to there shirts cost 44.99 GBP, the highest priced PL shirts at the time,and the pricing for the Interetoto games were very high...these shirts were made for the final, and were to be used if WHU advanced through the final into UEFA cup (which they did) due to the bad priceing publicity they were hung at Upton Park on the evening of the Final..but never used, the away white Fila shirt was used with PL logos on the sleeves , as Metz only had there Claret home shirts for the game
